The Glassman Foundation Gentleman’s Roast, was created in 2001 as a way to bring together many of Tucson ’s leading men for a night of socializing and raising money for a worthy Tucson children’s charity.

The event, which is hosted by David “Fitz” Fitzsimmons and Elliot Glicksman takes place in the piano lounge at McMahon’s Steakhouse and is limited to 50 Gentleman at a price of $500 per ticket. Honorees have included Bob Walkup (2001), Donald Diamond (2002), Coach Lute Olson (2003), and Paul Weitman (2004), Bill Estes, Jr (2005), Joe Cesare (2006), and Burt Kinerk (2007), Pat Manley (2008), Chuck Huckelberry (2009). Beneficiaries have included the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson (2001), Those Who Care (2002), the Catalina Council Boy Scouts of America (2003), and Big Brothers/Big Sisters (2004), and the UA Smith-Speaker’s Bureau (2005-2009).
