February 12th, 2010 - An Evening
of Love Songs
An
Evening of Love Songs, now in its 7th year, includes
the UA Jazz
Ensemble featuring special performances that have included well knows Tucsonans
such as Burt Kinerk and his son John, gentle tones by the voice of Surgeon
Hillel Baldwin, Former UA Coach Jim Rosborough with developers Lex Sears and
Mike Kasser, fun performances from the UA Pep Band, the Tucson Arizona Boys
Chorus, and the stunning vocal skills of Donald Pitt and Gary Kippur with his
daughter Andrea as well as many others. Taking place at 6:00pm
in Crowder Hall at the UA School of Music, An Evening of Love Songs
is the one of the fun annual events produced by the Glassman Foundation for the
purpose of providing unique and exciting opportunities for children and youth in
Tucson. The reception for all concert guests will be from 6:00pm to
7:00pm in the lobby. Don’t forget to consider
purchasing VIP tickets that include the after-show cast-dinner!!
Proceeds from An Evening of Love Songs will be used in part to
fund the “Glassman Foundation Music in the Schools Concert Series” which sends
musical groups from the UA School of Music into middle schools throughout
Tucson. Since its inception this event has funded concerts for more than
30,000 local middle school children in Southern Arizona.
